Nurse Manager (RN) - ICU (Days)

The Nurse Manager performs nursing duties in accordance with hospital policy/procedure and supervises other nursing personnel who are responsible for patient care. The Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility for the management of patient care and the personnel who are assigned to that area. This nurse has an in-depth knowledge of nursing practice/management and takes responsibility for the development and nurturing of self. This position will include accountability for maintaining high standards of patient care and nursing practice for the entire unit. The Nurse Manager is responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating and coordinating the nursing care provided on the unit utilizing the nursing process. The position is limited to 1 per nursing unit.EducationAssociate Degree or 2 years of college courseworkExperienceFive years of related experience. Requires broad knowledge of complex systems and procedures.Licenses & CertificationsACLS CertificationGeorgia Registered Nurse License or Multistate Nursing LicenseQualificationsBSN desirable.Demonstrates leadership, sound judgement and the ability to organize.Meets requirements for promotion to Nurse Manager.ACLS required within 90 days of hire.
