InspectorThe Inspector at Cook Winston-Salem is responsible to inspect products according to regulated procedures.ResponsibilitiesInspect products and or components per detailed specifications and/or drawings for quality, which includes, but is not limited to the following:Visually, dimensionally and functionally inspect productDetermine whether the product is acceptable using prescribed standardsComplete all necessary documentationAssist in training new employees in the departmentPerform daily and weekly cleaningPerform other duties as assignedAbility to read, write, and understand product specifications, drawings, work orders, labels and quality forms written in EnglishAbility to use a variety of testing equipment including small measuring devicesMaintain regular and punctual attendanceMust maintain company quality and quantity standardsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum 18 years of agePhysical Requirements:Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodationsMajority of work is conducted in a "controlled" environmentVisual Acuity to work with small partsMajority of day is spent sitting and walking within various departmentsAbility to occasionally lift up to 10lbs 90% of day; remaining 10% able to co-carry up to 35lbsAbility to perform fine manipulation with hands e.g. grasping, pinching pulling
