This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and partnering closely with leadership across a dynamic, multi-entity organization.The ideal candidate brings both technical accounting expertise and an appreciation for the pace and nuance of hospitality. You are detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable balancing structure with creativity in a fast-moving environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, cash management, and intercompany transactionsManage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entitiesPrepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAPEstablish, maintain, and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and proceduresCoordinate audits and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisorsPartner with finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisSupport new restaurant and hotel openings, acquisitions, and evolving business modelsLead, mentor, and develop the accounting teamIdentify opportunities for process improvement, system optimization, and scalabilityQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred)7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people managementStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirementsExperience managing multi-entity accounting environmentsProficiency with accounting systems and ERPs (NetSuite experience a plus)Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to see the broader financial pictureStrong communication skills and a collaborative leadership stylePreferred QualificationsCPA or CMA certificationHospitality industry experience (restaurants, hotels, or multi-concept portfolios) strongly preferredExperience in high-growth, entrepreneurial, or creatively driven organizationsExperience supporting new openings or complex operational structuresWhy you'll want to work for MML:Competitive Salary + Bonus PotentialBeverage Education ReimbursementPaid Time OffMML Property Discounts (Hotel, Restaurant, Retail)Fitness and Health BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, and Pet InsuranceRetirement BenefitsParental LeaveAdvancement and Promotion OpportunitiesCommunity Service OpportunitiesBackground Check & Equal Opportunity StatementIf an offer of employment is extended and accepted for this position, the candidate will be required to undergo a comprehensive background check.
