Driving route will be out of our Tipton location. Standard work hours are 7am-3pm with OT available.Essential Duties:Operate a tractor trailer combo on short haul routesDays of Operation - 5 days per week plus overtime as neededFollow and comply with FMCSA and DOT regulationsMachine Operation - Operate equipment, load rolls, perform changeovers, etc.Quality Standards - Demonstrate an ability to adjust the process to meet quality standardsQuality Inspection - Perform quality checks and collect quality data as requiredProduction Reporting - Enter production quantities and material usage into SytelineActively participate on the process improvement teamActively participate in lean manufacturing improvement workshops and training eventsPerform all other production-related duties as assigned or directedAdhere to New Pig's Safety, Environmental, and Quality standardsMinimum Qualifications:The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and/or abilities:21 years of age or olderPass the required drug testValid CDL Class A licensePass DOT physical and DOT Road TestFollow DOT RegulationsAble to load and unload trailers utilizing power industrial trucks and or special conveying equipment by coupling and uncoupling 20 ft hoses up to 45 lbsAdherence to all environmental, health & safety requirements and the company safety policies & proceduresMust achieve certification to operate (manufacturing production equipment) independently within 4 months of hire to achieve PA 2 levelComputer Skills - PC use including but not limited to email, data entry, system navigationMath skills - able to do unit conversions (e.g. linear inches to linear yards to sq. yards)Must be able to use basic measurement tools such as tape measures, rulers, etc.Physical activity - lifting 60 lb shafts; maneuvering 400 lb rolls; packing/palletizing cartons up to 30 lbsProduct standards - capable of producing all products to standard rateQuality System - capable of retrieving and applying all quality information; comply with QMS policies and proceduresAttention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughnessMust demonstrate a commitment to all tasks assignedContinuous improvement mindset - willingness to share input readily to improve our manufacturing processesHourly pay + driver pool differential pay + additional pay when driving.Paychecks weekly.
