Sr. Mainframe DeveloperLocation: RemoteExperience: 8+ yearsMandatory SkillsCOBOLDB2MQCICSRequired Skills & Experience8+ years of strong experience in Mainframe application development.Hands-on expertise with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.Experience with Healthcare Claims Adjudication processes and related business workflows.Strong understanding of code migration and release management, including package creation, code promotion across Development, Test, QA, and Production environments, and post-deployment validation/backout procedures.Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, including production support and resolution of complex technical issues.Strong communication and collaboration skills with business stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and offshore development teams.Experience working in Agile development environments.Roles & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement technical solutions for healthcare claims applications by translating business requirements into scalable and efficient Mainframe solutions.Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and MQ.Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, Project Managers, and support teams to ensure successful project delivery.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to offshore team members and coordinate onsite/offshore activities.Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and conduct code reviews.Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-implementation activities.Ensure adherence to established coding standards, development processes, and best practices.
