Men's Denim and Bottoms Design Intern

About the RoleThis internship is a great opportunity to learn the denim development process, participate in an inclusive team dedicated to giving a complete introduction and education into denim, and bottoms: fabric, fit, finish, details, development from industry experts. The intern will help the design team in concept, sketching, and product management. Denim and bottoms at Ariat is rooted in detail and fit, and this experience will be complete with creativity, process, technical exposure, and details.You'll Make a Difference ByOwning design development for M/W Workwear Bottoms (denim & non-denim), including washes, trims, and vendor communicationSupporting design execution through Illustrator flats, CADs, specs, presentation boards, and development packages (PLM/BOM/sketch alignment)Assisting with fabric and wash development, including creating briefs, building packages, and communicating wash direction updatesManaging trim development and seasonal tracking, and coordinating with materials, sourcing, and vendors on samplesReviewing samples and providing clear feedback on color, construction, fit, and quality; attending fit sessions and updating specs accordinglyConducting trend and market research to supporting concept development and identifying opportunitiesHandling cross-functional and operational tasks, including sample management, presentations, and sales meeting prepAssisting with other responsibilities based on business needsAbout YouCurrently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with a major in engineering or related field or recent graduate.Excellent written and oral communication skillsOutstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workloadDemonstrates strong motivation to carry out projects and/or assigned work dutiesAbility to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a teamWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Strong attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to analyze, organize, and prioritizeAbout AriatAriat is an innovative, outdoor global brand with roots in equestrian performance.
