Warranty Mechanic/Technician - JLR
Essential Duties:
Repair vehicles that have been diagnosed by Trouble Shooting Technician
Repair or replace broken parts on all warranty problems found during PDI, accessory installation and during all other inspections
Adjust functional parts as necessary
Perform maintenance and repairs on all company vehicles as needed
Use specialized hand tools to affect needed repairs
Carry out small projects for various accounts, such as port modification and/or inspections
Maintain a clean and hazard free work area
When required, perform duties and responsibilities outdoors
Drive appropriate vehicles to and from the staging area into the Production Shop
Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety
Perform other duties as assigned.
SHIFT: Monday – Friday 6:30am – 3:00pm with possibility of overtime and/or weekend work as directed by business need.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid US Driver’s License
Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
5+ years of experience in electrical training and/or electric repair
Own and maintain required tools, except for special tools with limited use
Drive both automatic and straight shift vehicles
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in diagnostic repairs, mainly in A/C and electrical repairs
Read and understand electrical schematics, component location index and circuit operation index
Physical Working Attributes:
Lift, push, and or pull up to 90lbs
Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Technical work performed in an open shop environment with no air conditioning and minimal heating
Periodically exposed to all outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, insects and other conditions which may exist from time to time
Work in tight spaces or congested quarters
