As an Engineer II in Manufacturing Engineering, you'll support continuous improvement, ensure quality standards, and optimize production processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Lead technical projects and provide manufacturing support to help deliver innovative solutions that enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.You will participate in new product introductions, process improvements, and equipment optimization initiatives. Using data-driven approaches and lean methodologies, you'll identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain the highest quality standards. Work closely with operations, quality, maintenance, R&D, and other teams to implement sustainable solutions that drive manufacturing excellence.Responsibilities:Develop manufacturing assembly and test work instructions, guides, and proceduresRepresent manufacturing on NPI teams to develop efficient designs using DFM and serviceabilityPromote the utilization of Lean methodologies and tools such as Kaizen, Kanban, 5S, poka-yoke, and value stream mappingConduct time studies, capacity analysis, and workflow optimization to improve labor efficiency and throughputDrive process improvements in operations to reduce scrap, rework, and cycle timeIdentify and implement opportunities for simple automation and error-proofing solutions in manufacturing processesSupport integration and validation of automated or semi-automated equipment and fixturesEnsure adequate documentation for tooling, fixtures, equipment, and process changesEngage in supplier assessment, corrective actions, and first article approval processesQuickly disposition and perform root cause analysis on component and assembly failuresImplement engineering change ordersCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Quality, Maintenance, R&D) to deploy sustainable process improvementsOther duties as assignedRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be consideredHS Diploma/GED required2-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing operations preferredExperience applying industrial engineering principles such as time studies, line balancing, and process flow optimizationExperience with good engineering practices and manufacturing process developmentStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsData analysis experienceERP experience, SAP preferredCAD software experienceProven track record to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issuesExperience in process improvement and Lean methodologiesExposure to automation, controls, or equipment integration in a manufacturing environment preferredBasic understanding of PLCs, sensors, or automated systems is a plus (not required)Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to mentor and train manufacturing personnelMust be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs with assistance
