Come work with us, and let’s redefine the future together.About The JobAs a Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate with our engineering team to implement optimal cloud-based solutions and establish best practices for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance. You’ll mentor development teams, ensure high standards of application performance and scalability, and design cloud native applications for large-scale data processing and advanced analytics.What You’ll DoWork in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the companyDefine and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenanceProvide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competencies Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful designDesign, build, and deploy our cloud native applications at the direction of lead architects, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analyticsParticipate in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assuranceTroubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document issues, and implement preventive measuresEducate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as requiredEmploy exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect the missionImplement best practices in designing cloud infrastructure to meet various compliance needs such as NIST 800-53, CMMI, and CMMCBuild automated infrastructure deployments using Terraform, Ansible and other infrastructure as code and configuration as code toolsDesign and implement networking best practices for a multi-cloud infrastructureEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a Related Discipline7 years of experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platforms, with a focus on Azure and Google Cloud PlatformsUnderstanding of and experience with the five pillars of a well-architected frameworkExperience in several of the following areas: database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, and advanced analyticsProven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of business analysis, data analysis, developers, data scientists, architects, and subject matter expertsProficiency in Terraform and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practicesExperience deploying and managing applications using KubernetesRequired Skills / CertificationsSecurity+ and Network+ CertifiedAWS, GCP, or Azure CertificationsKnowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPCSecurity clearanceYou must be able to obtain a security clearance (Secret or higher) – US Citizenship requiredCOMPENSATION$100,000-$175,000 per year based on skills, experienceBenefitsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, life insurance, 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching, and opportunities for professional growth and career development.You have the legal right to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
