Payroll And HRIS SpecialistThe Payroll And HRIS Specialist serves as a frontline operator and problem-solver for Brabo's client base, owning the day-to-day execution of payroll and HRIS functions within the Paylocity platform. This role is not just transactionalit is client-facing, fast-paced, and requires strong judgment, adaptability, and accountability. You will support a diverse portfolio of clients across industries including healthcare, hospitality, construction, nonprofits, and professional services. Success in this role means balancing high-volume, deadline-driven payroll processing with real-time client support and system optimization. We are building a group of professionals who can operate independently, think critically, and deliver results in a client-driven environment.Key Responsibilities Payroll Execution & OwnershipProcess and submit weekly, biweekly, and off-cycle payrolls with accuracy and timelinessOwn payroll deadlines across multiple clients, ensuring compliance and consistencyTroubleshoot payroll discrepancies, tax issues, and funding concerns proactivelySupport final pay calculations, PTO payouts, and earnings adjustmentsClient Support & Relationship ManagementServe as a primary point of contact for assigned clients via Salesforce, Slack, and emailManage a high volume of client inquiries with professionalism, urgency, and clarityBuild strong working relationships with clients by providing reliable, solution-focused supportTranslate technical system functionality into practical guidance for clientsPayroll Platform ExpertiseAct as a functional expert across Paylocity modules, including:Payroll & TaxTime & AttendanceOnboarding & ATSBenefits & Open EnrollmentPerformance & LMSExpense ManagementCommunities & Employee Engagement toolsConfigure and troubleshoot system setup (earnings, deductions, PTO, workflows, etc.)Support reporting needs using Custom Report Writer and dashboardsAssist with integrations (401k, GL, benefits carriers, etc.)Compliance & Issue ResolutionPartner with agencies and vendors to resolve tax notices and discrepanciesEnsure payroll and HR processes align with federal, state, and local regulationsSupport clients with audits, reporting, and compliance-related inquiriesOperations & Process ImprovementAdapt daily priorities to balance recurring payroll deadlines with ad hoc client needsIdentify inefficiencies and recommend process improvementsParticipate in internal training, 1:1s, and team collaborationContribute to documentation, SOPs, and knowledge-sharing across the teamSupport implementations or special projects as neededWhat Success Looks Like Payrolls are processed accurately, on time, and with minimal rework Clients feel supported, informed, and confident in the platform You can manage multiple clients and competing priorities independently You proactively identify issues and bring solutionsnot just problems You grow into a trusted resource internally and externallyYou grow into a trusted resource internally and externallyQualifications2+ years of experience in payroll, HRIS, or client service environmentHands-on experience with Paylocity (or similar HRIS/payroll platform required)Strong technical aptitude and comfort navigating multiple systems simultaneouslyExperience managing client relationships or high-volume service requestsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and adapt quicklyProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel strongly preferred)Preferred:FPC or CPP certification (or working toward certification)Experience with integrations, reporting, or system configurationWork EnvironmentHybrid schedule (in-office TuesThurs; remote Mon/Fri)High-volume, deadline-driven environment (especially mid-week payroll cycles)Collaborative team with strong expectations around accountability and communicationWhy This Role at Brabo This is not a siloed payroll role.
