Design Engineer

Description: ENTEK is seeking applications for a Design Engineer role to join us on-site at our Yorba Linda, California location (relocation within 40 miles of Yorba Linda is required). The Design Engineer position focuses on the development or improvement of actual products or designs for ENTEK and our customers. In this position, Design Engineers create new products and modification of existing products, including product line extensions; selection and testing of materials, ingredients or components that will be suitable for the product; respond and collaborate with customers on product or design. Design Engineers are responsible for conceptualizing, developing prototypes, testing and perfecting designs by applying engineering principles and concepts. Drawing solutions from formal training, experience and team collaboration is required. Design involves development or improvement of actual products or equipment Design Activities may involve but are not limited to, steam systems, machine tools, material handling systems, piping, and industrial production equipment used in manufacturing Will use Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Inventor and other applicable system and for design data processing and developing alternative designs, assembly drawings Able to adapt methods to solve problems Collaborate with team, supervisor, sales team and customers to review functions of machines and equipment. Accepts and maintains responsibility for completing projects on time and under budget. Working Environment The hours for this role are Monday-Friday, beginning at 7:00 a.m. The employee in this role is required to sit for extended periods of time, is frequently required to talk, hear, and complete tasks that require reaching and finger dexterity, and may occasionally be required to stand and walk, and may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
