The Automation Engineer will work within a team of engineers to design, build and debug robotic automation systems. Daily you will report to an Electrical Engineering Team Lead. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Assist with quoting robotic systems for equipment buildsDesign, develop and program robotic systems, including end of arm toolingAssist mechanical engineers and technicians with debugging systemsTravel to customer sites for robotic set up and advanced troubleshootingManage up to five projects at a time, all at various stagesTrain end users on robotic systemsUtilize robotic simulation software to ensure structural and reach requirementsRepresent the company in a professional manner that will foster and build internal and external relationshipsOther duties as directed by managementCandidates should enjoy working in a laid back, team oriented environment and collaborating with engineers, sales and operations. This position receives paid overtime and travel pay. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED2. Ideally three years of experience working in automated manufacturing environments3. At least 1-2 years in an engineering, programming or technician role with the desire to learn more about robotics4. General mechanical aptitude, including troubleshooting gears, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.5. General electrical aptitude, including troubleshooting fuses, contactors, wiring, etc.6. General understanding of logic related to PLCs, robotics, sequencing, etc.7. Basic math skills8. Willingness to travel up to 25-30% of the time9. Microsoft OfficeSkills preferred but NOT required:1. OEM (original equipment manufacturer) or integrator experience2. Skilled trades background3. Working knowledge of PLCs, robotics, etc.4.
