About the Position
Interface, Inc. is seeking an Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Scottsdale, Arizona. In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks involved in the assembly of electrical and mechanical force transducers, including precision soldering of fine-gauge solid wire using magnification equipment such as microscopes.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, quality-focused, and comfortable following detailed procedures, drawings, and schematics. You will work independently and as part of a team to meet production and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare fine wires by cutting them to length and tinning wire ends.
Perform fine-wire soldering and precision assembly.
Use magnification devices, including microscopes, during assembly.
Use cleaning agents to remove flux residue.
Operate a variety of small hand tools.
Review and complete production travelers accurately.
Follow detailed drawings, schematics, procedures, and quality standards.
Maintain a high level of workmanship and quality throughout the assembly process.
Work independently and collaboratively to achieve production targets.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read and understand schematics.
Ability to read and write English.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Education & Experience
1-3 years of soldering experience.
Previous microscope or magnification-device experience.
Experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or electronics environment.

Work Environment
This position is performed indoors in a production environment with loud machinery. Chemicals are present in the workplace, and employees are required to follow all applicable safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Regularly communicate and hear in a production environment.
Ability to lift and/or move items weighing more than 35 pounds.
Ability to perform detailed close-up work.
Visual abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
