Job#: 3030866Job Description:Manufacturing EngineerLocation: Bellevue, WAAbout The RoleThis team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and scale of advanced material handling and mechanical systems. This role sits at the intersection of product engineering, manufacturing, and deployment, ensuring designs are optimized for manufacturability, quality, cost, and scalability.You will partner closely with product engineers, controls teams, and operations to bring complex mechanical systems from prototype through production and deployment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead manufacturing process development and optimization across multiple fabrication technologiesProvide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback early in the design cycle to ensure scalable, cost‑effective productionSupport new product introduction (NPI) from prototype builds through production rampCollaborate cross‑functionally with:Product EngineeringControls EngineeringProcurement & Supply ChainDeployment and Operations teamsIdentify and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, yield, throughput, and costDevelop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process control plansSupport troubleshooting during builds, pilots, and deploymentsInterface with suppliers and contract manufacturers as neededTravel periodically to U.S. lab and deployment sites to support builds and issue resolutionRequired Technical ExperienceExperience with one or more of the following manufacturing processes:Die castingSheet metal fabricationWeldingRoll formingStretch formingPreferred:Plastics manufacturing experiencesystems‑level assembly experienceBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related STEM field5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production engineering roleStrong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing constraintsExperience supporting production builds, pilot lines, or factory floor operationsAbility to work in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment and manage multiple prioritiesStrong communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional partnersPreferred QualificationsExperience in automation, material handling systems, robotics, aerospace, automotive, or industrial equipment manufacturingHands‑on experience supporting builds, prototypes, or deployment effortsFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologiesExperience using PLM systems to manage product data, engineering changes, and manufacturing documentationExposure to high‑mix / low‑volume manufacturing environmentsWillingness to travel domestically as required by the programApex Systems is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
