PFNonwovens Slitter Lead (9pm- 9am) - $25.00hr -$27.00hr

Slitter LeadPurpose and role of job: The role requires strong leadership and team motivation to uphold quality standards in production. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting and training crew members across various slitter operations. Effective communication and a proactive approach to safety and cleanliness are essential for maintaining efficiency. Additionally, the individual will focus on continuous improvement and adherence to work instructions.Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:Motivate and lead by maintaining positive moraleDemonstrated proficiency on mainline and slitter areasAdvanced operations and troubleshooting at the Corematic, Slitter, and Packaging systemAdvanced operations and troubleshooting the mainlineMaintains quality standards for the product. Follows up on QW regularly throughout the shift, inspects work orders for accuracy and continuous improvement on daily packet scores.Ensure all orphan rolls are accounted for by the end of the shiftKeeps the machine and the surrounding area cleanFollow instructions of the Production Manager, Process Engineer, Superintendent and PE techTrain and develop crew to advance through pay for skills/performance in a timely manner. Keep up with crew training rotations between Mainline, Slitter and Packaging areaCoordinate all downs safely & effectivelyTake a proactive approach in all production aspects including raw materialsEnsure clear communication between oncoming and off-going shiftsProvide guidance and structure to the teamAttending GEMBA dailyReviews work instructions for accuracy and notify Production Manager if changes need to be madeChange out cross-cut wires and counter knife bladesPerforms other duties as necessary when directed to do soEducation and experience requirements:High school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of all required training and assessmentsAbility to operate in a fast-paced environmentAbility to communicate orally and writtenAbility to work in a team orientated environmentDemonstrated leadership abilities requiredPrevious manufacturing/distribution center/industrial experience preferredProven ability for applied learning requiredPrior computer experience preferredWork instructions and LMS completed and up to dateWork Environment: Noisy environment requiring hearing protection; manufacturing environmentPhysical Requirements:Walk/stand 100% of the time during a 12-hour shift.Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting throughout shift.Occasional climbing and reaching into machines to fix jams.Occasionally reaching overhead during shift.Frequent pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift, including materials requiring up to 75lbs of force to maneuver.Frequent lifting or carrying up to 50lbs.Constant use of hands and occasional use of foot control.Constant light and firm grasping with hands throughout shift.Operation of cranes, hoists, hand trucks and roll manipulators throughout shift.Daily sweeping and organizing floor and work area.Occasional climbing of steps.Balance required for some tasks.Equal Opportunity Employer
