Senior Substation P&C Technologist

Mesa is seeking an experienced (8 to 14 years) Bachelor of Science degreed individual for a position in Power Substation Protection and Control (P&C) Design. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the field of Power Substation Engineering Design within the U.S. Power industry. The role involves providing engineering design support for P&C design of Power Substations ranging in voltage levels from 34.5 kV to 500 kV (765 kV experience is considered a plus). As a Senior Technologist, the individual must be skilled in all aspects of P&C Substation design, develop comprehensive design project packages meeting standards and constructability criteria, and effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders at all levels. Familiarity with Bentley MicroStation and/or Autodesk ACD see is a plus.
Education and Experience
BS Degree from an established/recognized university (required)
8–14 years of experience working in the power utility industry
Responsibilities
Perform P&C Substation design with a high degree of accuracy (quality)
Work well as a team member as well as independently
Use MicroStation to create the assigned deliverables
Interact with the customer and meet their schedule and budgeting requirements
Review the work of other team members
Perform work safely
This opportunity is for a hybrid work environment (home and office) and requires residing within the Knoxville, TN area.
