This role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure backend services that support our global operations. As a key member of the engineering team, you will work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and AI specialists to deliver features that enhance the user experience and optimize our recruitment solutions. We value proactive problem solvers who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about building robust systems that stand the test of scale and complexity.QualificationsProven experience in backend development, with a strong track record of delivering production-ready systems.Deep understanding of API design, database management, authentication, authorization, and integration techniques.Experience working with scalable systems used by large user bases or internal operations.Strong debugging, troubleshooting, security, and data quality skills.Ability to make practical trade-offs between speed, scalability, correctness, and maintainability.Familiarity with fintech, payments, banking, wallets, KYC, fraud detection, or risk management is a plus but not mandatory if fundamentals are solid.Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.Experience working in dynamic environments with rapidly changing requirements.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for core functionalities such as onboarding, account management, payments, transfers, rewards, travel, foreign exchange, KYC, and risk management.Architect reliable and scalable systems capable of supporting real customer transactions and operational workflows across multiple markets.Integrate backend services with internal systems, financial partners, payment providers, AI services, and third-party platforms to ensure seamless operation.Maintain high standards of system reliability, security, latency, and observability, ensuring data integrity and swift incident response.Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product, frontend, mobile, and AI—to deliver new features rapidly and securely.Identify opportunities to optimize existing systems by simplifying workflows, automating manual tasks, and reducing operational overhead.Implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality software delivery.Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to minimize downtime and ensure a smooth user experience.BenefitsGrabJobs offers a competitive benefits package designed to support the well-being and professional growth of our employees.
