Founding Mechanical Engineer - Bay Area (On-site) - Novel Space HardwareA leading New Space Start-Up is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to own the design, build, and testing of complex hardware systems in high-performance environments. This role spans structures, fluid systems, and thermal applications, with a strong hands-on focus.You will:Be responsible for design, development, and integration of mechanical systemsBuild novel technology from prototype to deploymentAssist with instrumentation and basic embedded system interfacingCollaborate with cross-functional teams on system integrationYou'll bring:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or related fieldProven experience in full-lifecycle design, testing, manufacturing, or R&DExposure to fluid systemsHands-on experience with hardware development and testingStrong problem-solving and organizational skillsPreferred ExperienceExperience with high-pressure fluidsExposure to regulated or hazardous test environmentsFamiliarity with instrumentation or embedded systems
