Title: Data Scientist Location: Hybrid - 2201 C St NW Washington DC – at least two days a week Min Education Requirement: Master’s Degree and 1+ year of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience Clearance Required: Active Top Secret ClearanceAbout The OpportunityInalab has an immediate opening for a Data Scientist to support the Department of State Global Engagement Center (GEC) Analytics & Research (A&R) Division.Essential ResponsibilitiesThe Data Scientist will support analytical production and GEC Functional Bureau Strategy objective to improve the use of data and emerging technologies in the GEC’s threat responsiveness.These Data Scientists Are Expected To Execute quantitative analysis of adversary activity in the information environment Develop new methods, report drafting and production, and briefing findings to stakeholders Data Scientist will support the lead Data Scientist on A&R who will be their Government Technical Manager. Possible travel if required by the client. Required Skills Research and Analysis: Efforts related to specific research questions/problem areas, including literature review, background study, data interrogation and analysis using statistical/quantitative and qualitative methods, with an eye to developing strategic insights/recommendations. Written Communication: Ability to organize thoughts and communicate clearly and effectively to the intended audience, for the selected medium, and including visual aids as appropriate. Project Management: Maintaining multi-deadline, fluid set of projects under Agile management methods; overall project management proficiency including monitoring and controlling projects and communicating across all project stakeholders. Presentation: Oral communication in-person and online, to varying audiences; development of presentation aids, causing audience(s) to retain knowledge.
