Job Overview The Community Compass, Inc. provides support services to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Presently, the Sonora day Program has an opening for a P/T Hourly Instructor. The Company provides employees with the training necessary to promote positive social skills development with the people we serve. Do you feel that you have great hobbies or interests that you could adapt and teach individuals who receive services at our program? Hobbies such as arts and crafts, music, cooking, games as well as outdoor and health & fitness activities. We're looking for people who, using the Company's curriculum, can teach others. Additionally, employees help people with intellectual disabilities learn daily living skills as well as employment skills. Responsibilities We're looking to hire people who...have a passion and dedication to supporting people who have intellectual disabilities and are outgoing, positive, creative, fun to be around and accepting. Experience: Need to have life experiences that can be used as a foundation to teach and support others and have demonstrated experience in supporting people with disabilities. High School diploma or GED is required. Experience in the field is required. A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record is required. Ability to successfully pass physical/drug testing Successful candidates will be required to complete a DOJ background check. Work hours are M-F from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and occasional Saturdays for training.
