We are seeking an experienced Java Solutions Architect / Full Stack Java Developer to join our technology consulting practice. In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade applications for a diverse portfolio of clients, providing both hands-on technical leadership and strategic architectural guidance. This is a senior-level position requiring deep technical expertise, client-facing communication skills, and the ability to mentor development teams while driving solution architecture from concept through deployment.Salary: Up to $130,000 - $160,000Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, design, and oversee development of scalable, secure, full-stack Java applications for enterprise clients across industriesServe as the technical lead on client engagements, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions and architecture blueprintsDefine and enforce architectural standards, coding best practices, and design patterns across project teamsProvide hands-on development support for complex backend and frontend components when required, including proof-of-concepts and MVPsLead technical design reviews, architecture governance boards, and solution walkthroughs with client stakeholdersEvaluate and recommend technology stacks, frameworks, and cloud platforms aligned to client needs and modernization goalsDesign and implement microservices architectures, RESTful/GraphQL APIs, and event-driven systemsGuide teams on CI/CD pipeline design, DevOps practices, containerization, and cloud-native deployment strategiesConduct code reviews, performance tuning, and system optimization for high-availability applicationsMentor and upskill junior and mid-level developers; contribute to internal Communities of Practice and reusable acceleratorsSupport pre-sales activities including technical solutioning, proposal writing, and client presentationsEnsure adherence to security, compliance, and data governance standards throughout the SDLCRequired QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field10+ years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years in an architect or technical lead capacityExpert-level proficiency in Java (Java 11/17+) and the broader JVM ecosystemStrong experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data)Proven expertise designing microservices architectures and distributed systemsFront-end development experience with modern frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.jsSolid understanding of RESTful API design, GraphQL, and API gateway patternsHands-on experience with relational (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) databasesExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native architecture patternsProficiency with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)Experience with messaging/event streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar)Deep understanding of design patterns, domain-driven design (DDD), and enterprise integration patternsExcellent client-facing communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skillsPrior consulting or professional services experience strongly preferredBenefits for this position will likely include the following:Unlimited paid time offHealthcare benefitsDental benefitsVision benefitsDisability insuranceLife insurance benefitsRetirement benefits, including 401(k) and a potential company match.Parental leave for both birthing (up to 14 weeks of paid leave) and non-birthing parents (up to 4 weeks paid leave), as well as adoption leave (up to 8 weeks of paid leave), subject to qualificationsChild hospitalization leave (up to 15 paid calendar days per year), subject to qualifications“Be kind to yourself day” on your anniversary (subject to terms and conditions)Graduation and birthing gifts, subject to eligibilityPaid Jury duty (up to 4 weeks a year), subject to eligibilityPaid moving days (up to 2 days a year), subject to eligibilityApproximately 12 paid company holidays a yearAccommodations:If you require accommodation, please contact the recruiting teamApplicant Privacy:Globant will collect and process your information as part of this application.
