Construction Estimator - Multi-Family & Mixed-Use Projects

Exterior EstimatorPosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Exterior Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating project specifications and blueprints to prepare accurate cost estimates for exterior construction projects, including roofing, siding, and window installations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that projects are competitively bid while maintaining high quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesReview project specifications and blueprints to determine material and labor costs.Perform site assessments to gauge project requirements and conditions.Prepare detailed material takeoffs and cost estimates for exterior finishes and installations.Communicate with clients to clarify project details and requirements.Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and resource acquisition.Manage the bidding process and submit proposals in a timely manner.Assist in contract negotiations and ensure compliance with project requirements.Collaborate with project managers to align estimates with project budgets and timelines.QualificationsProven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on exterior projects.Strong knowledge of cost analysis, project management, and contract negotiation.Proficiency in blueprint reading and material takeoff.Ability to travel to job-sites to conduct surveys for developing Bid estimates (20% of time)Experience with various exterior finishes, including roofing, siding, and windows.Excellent client communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Strong background with ExcelExperience with estimating tools like BlueBeam and XactimateFamiliarity with estimating software and tools.BenefitsCompetitive bonus program based on performanceCompany cell phone/laptopCompany card401 (k) with matchDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurance and more
