DevOps Engineer

DevOps Support Engineer IILocation: US-based, Remote or Atlanta area(hybrid preferred) / Eastern time zone.TekStream is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a long-term project (6 months -1 year). This would be 40 hours per week on a W-2 basis contract-basis.The DevOps Support engineer will assist with day-to-day support activities and development tasks of the Digital Enablement team.Work is expected to fall into the following relative priorities:Respond to Tier 1 support tickets, remediate, when possible, otherwise escalate with helpful context to Tier 2 support.Document all activities for history, context and collaborationAssess tickets for recurring issues and assist in the create/update relevant runbooks for ongoing automation and efficiency gainsEngage in Tier 2 and above tickets as relevantWork will be done during normal business hours (Eastern time zone) with occasional on-call support via scheduled rotation with other team members.Requirements:3+ years of experience in DevOps rolesDeep knowledge of Linux, Windows, networking, and distributed systemsHands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Proven experience building and operating CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.)Strong scripting or programming skills (Python, Go, Bash, JavaScript, Typescript, or similar)Ability to think systemically, communicate clearly, and take ownershipStrong development skills and can code well in at least one languageProficient setting up and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines from build to deployment including some system that stores the build artifactsSolid understanding of how the cloud works, with strong experience in at least one cloud provider. Bonus for it being AWSDemonstrate a broad array of technological experience including using operating systems, networking, how APIs work, etc.Candidates should be a strong and quick learner, self-motivated, and detail oriented with strong interpersonal skills to promote strong team collaborationMust be adaptability to changing technologies and methodologies to meet new business needsFamiliarity with Artifactory to find an answer to a solution, and can become an Artifactory expert.Desired: AWS Solutions Architect certification – Associate or ProfessionalExperience in regulated or high‑availability environmentsSecurity-focused DevOps or DevSecOps experienceExperience supporting customer‑facing or revenue‑critical platformsPrior experience influencing architecture at scaleExperience in an AWS environment, ideally with CloudFormation, lambdas, and ECSStrong troubleshooting and documentation skills.Ability to handle on-call support responsibilities via scheduled rotation with other team members (outside of normal business hours)
