Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:15 AM to 6:45 PM • Must be highly proficient in ophthalmology (adult & pediatric), pediatric orthopedic, pediatric general, and pediatric ENT procedures • Minimum 3 years circulator experience required • EPIC experience required • On-call requirement as part of position • Unit does not accept first-time travelers • Travel experience required with minimum 2 years specialty experience • Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted) • Louisiana or Compact license required upon submittal • BLS certification required (AHA certifications mandatory) • Skills required: Circulate/Telemetry and Conscious Sedation • 36-hour orientation program • Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Two pre-approved time off requests allowed • Must be available for emergency team assignments during facility emergencies • NURSYS reports must be current within 4 weeks of submission • No call-ins permitted • Must be separated from facility for 1 full year before returning as traveler if previously employed there Facility: This major healthcare system operates a comprehensive medical center providing advanced surgical services across multiple specialties.
