The role supports enterprise initiatives including Product Information Management (PIM), operational MDM used to manage core master data records, and analytical MDM used to support reporting and analytics.The Platform Lead provides technical leadership for the Stibo STEP platform, ensuring it is scalable, well-governed, and reliably delivered while aligning platform capabilities with enterprise data architecture and governance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the technical architecture, roadmap, and operational integrity of the Stibo STEP platformDefine and enforce STEP data model, hierarchy, and attribute standards across product, vendor, customer, and related master data domainsLead development delivery including backlog prioritization, sprint planning, release governance, and quality assurance practicesReview and approve technical implementations including business actions, event processors, matching configurations, and integrationsEstablish development standards, documentation expectations, and testing practices for STEP platform developmentOversee integrations between STEP environments, ERPs, and downstream systems, ensuring consistent data synchronization across multiple systems and domainsPartner with MDM leadership and data governance teams to ensure platform capabilities support stewardship workflows and data governance policiesMonitor platform performance and system health, proactively addressing architectural risks, technical debt, or scalability constraintsTranslate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and communicate delivery risks or architectural considerations to leadershipRequired Qualifications3–5+ years of experience configuring, developing, and administering the Stibo STEP platformStrong expertise in STEP data modeling including product structures, entities, hierarchies, attributes, references, and inheritanceExperience implementing STEP business logic including Business Actions, Event Processors, workflows, and matching configurationsExperience integrating STEP with enterprise systems using APIs or common data exchange technologies (REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, or ETL tools)Proficiency in JavaScript/Java and SQL used for STEP development and troubleshootingExperience supporting data governance and stewardship processes within an MDM or PIM platformStrong understanding of platform operations including performance monitoring, environment management, and release or upgrade processesDemonstrated experience leading technical delivery and mentoring development resourcesPreferred QualificationsPostsecondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related disciplineStibo STEP certification(s)Experience designing large-scale product data models or high-volume product catalog environmentsExperience supporting multi-domain MDM environments (product, vendor, customer, or similar)Experience with cloud or integration platforms such as AzureExperience leading Agile, Waterfall, or other development management processesStay up to date with Vallen, and follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.Equal Opportunity Employer - Ethnically and Culturally Diverse/Females/Veterans/Disabled/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity
