Project Manager/Estimator
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HVAC Mechanical Project Manager / Estimator to oversee mechanical projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for preparing accurate estimates, managing awarded projects, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Pre-Construction
Prepare detailed HVAC mechanical estimates for commercial and light industrial projects
Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate scopes of work
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
Participate in bid reviews, value engineering, and scope clarification
Assist with proposal preparation and bid submissions
Project Management
Manage HVAC projects from contract award through closeout
Develop project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans
Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, inspectors, and field teams
Oversee subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality and schedule compliance
Track job costs, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation
Conduct jobsite meetings and progress reviews
Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and contract requirements
Closeout & Client Relations
Manage project closeout, including punch lists, warranties, and as-built documentation
Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders
Support long-term client relationships and repeat business
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in HVAC mechanical estimating and/or project management
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, materials, and installation methods
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel required)
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
Experience working with general contractors and public/private bid projects
Familiarity with local codes and permitting requirements
