Manufacturing TechnicianThis role focuses on assembling medical devices, including fiberoptic cables and high-resolution screens used in operating rooms. You will follow clear build instructions, work with printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA), and perform visual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards. In a growing organization, you will collaborate across different departments and adapt to a variety of tasks as needed.ResponsibilitiesAssemble medical devices such as fiberoptic cables and high-resolution screens used in operating rooms.Follow clear and detailed build instructions to complete assemblies accurately and efficiently.Perform visual inspection of printed circuit boards (PCBs) to verify they are in proper condition before plugging them in or integrating them into assemblies.Handle PCBAs and related components with care, using appropriate ESD-safe practices and tools.Use small hand tools and micro tools to complete precise mechanical and electronic assembly tasks.Package completed medical devices and assemblies according to defined procedures and quality standards.Use Microsoft Office to track work, record data, and support basic documentation needs.Perform basic inventory tasks, including tracking parts and finished products and reporting shortages or discrepancies.Collaborate with different departments and support various stages of the production process as needed.Adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities in a newer, growing organization, effectively "wearing different hats" as required.Maintain a clean and organized bench assembly area and follow all safety and quality procedures.Apply soldering skills where required to support PCB and component assembly.Follow ESD (electrostatic discharge) protocols to protect sensitive electronic components.Essential SkillsExperience in medical device assembly or similar precision assembly work.Ability to read and follow clear build instructions and assembly documentation.PCBA experience, including handling and working with printed circuit board assemblies.Proficiency in visual inspection of PCB boards to identify defects or issues before use.Experience using small hand tools and micro tools for detailed assembly tasks.Familiarity with ESD (electrostatic discharge) practices and working in ESD-sensitive environments.Soldering experience for electronic and PCB-related assembly tasks.Ability to use Microsoft Office for basic documentation, data entry, and communication.Experience with basic inventory tracking of parts and finished products.Willingness and ability to work across various departments and take on multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience in medical or aerospace assembly is preferred.Clean room experience is preferred, even though this role does not primarily operate in a clean room.Comfort working in smaller manufacturing spaces and at bench assembly units.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in a regulated environment.Ability to adapt to new processes and technologies as the organization grows.Why Work Here?You will join a growing organization that offers long-term stability and comprehensive benefits upon conversion, including medical, vision, and dental insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan with a 100% match on the first 4% of eligible compensation. You will primarily work at bench assembly stations, handling delicate components and using small hand and micro tools. The facility also includes a clean room, and while this role is not primarily performed in the clean room, familiarity with clean room practices is beneficial. The environment emphasizes careful handling of electronic components, adherence to ESD protocols, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $34.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
