High End Residential Construction Project Manager

Location: Chesapeake, VALead a Complex Oceanfront Custom Home Project Contractor Staffing Source has been retained to find an experienced construction leader to join a team for a unique, high-end oceanfront custom home project in Chesapeake, VA. This is a one-time, 12-15 month 1099 opportunity working directly with the homeowner GC, who is a respected leader in the residential construction industry, and two other dedicated team members who handle the accounting, contract, selections, and design aspects of the project. The project combines commercial-level construction complexity with luxury custom-home detail.We are seeking a hands-on High-End Residential Construction Project Manager to oversee daily site operations for a complex oceanfront custom home. The right person will manage trade coordination, schedule, quality control, communication, and problem-solving from the job site. This role is ideal for a seasoned PM with field experience, a strong superintendent ready for a larger leadership role, or an experienced construction professional looking for a high-visibility luxury residential project.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain full-time on-site presence throughout the project duration to manage daily construction activity in Chesapeake, VACoordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and deliveriesProduce and maintain short- and long-term project schedulesMeet high-end construction quality standards with luxury finishes, uphold excellent jobsite organization, and consistently ensure full compliance with OSHA safety requirementsCommunicate clearly with the homeowner, designer, architect, and off-site team membersIdentify issues early and drive practical solutionsUse project management technology (i.e. CoConstruct, BuilderTrend, SPOT) to keep information organized and currentEnsure the finished home reflects the quality and detail expected of a luxury custom buildOperate independently and confidently without requiring constant oversight from the ownerNote that submittal/RFI management, vendor contracts, and procurement coordination are handled by others on the team.
