All Points North is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant to join our team.Medical AssistantPosition OverviewAs a Medical Assistant at our behavioral health facility in Edwards, Colorado, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to support patient care and medication services. This full-time, on-site role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while utilizing your clinical skills in a supportive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMedication ManagementAssist patients with self-administration of prescribed medicationsObserve, supervise, and document medication administrationMaintain accurate medication counts and secure inventoriesOrder refills and process medication changes promptlyNotify providers of medication compliance concerns or issuesCommunicate regularly with nursing regarding patient medication routinesClinical SupportInterview patients and document basic medical historyPrepare and maintain treatment rooms and medical instrumentsRecord vital signs and report abnormal findings to nursing staffCollect specimens according to established protocolsPerform blood draws when certified and within scope of practiceEnter accurate data into electronic medical records systemsSpecialized Services SupportSupport Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) servicesAssist with ketamine services and other designated plus servicesPrepare treatment areas and equipment for specialized proceduresMonitor and document patient status during and after treatmentsReinforce patient education regarding specialized treatmentsEnsure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirementsQualificationsEducation & CertificationHigh School diploma or GED with active Medical Assistant (MA) certificationQualification and training to legally dispense medication in ColoradoA combination of relevant education and experience may be consideredExperienceMinimum of 1 year experience working with medications in a professional settingBehavioral health experience preferred but not requiredSkills & AttributesStrong attention to detail and organizational abilitiesProfessional communication with diverse populationsAdaptability and positive approach to changeAbility to maintain appropriate professional boundariesBasic computer skills; Microsoft Office and EMR knowledge preferredMotivational interviewing and de-escalation skillsPhysical RequirementsThis position requires standing, walking, bending, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. You must be able to read labels, count medications efficiently, and open medication packaging without difficulty.
