Network Engineer L3

Overview In this role you will modernize and strengthen the US network infrastructure, focusing on reliability, security, and user experience. You will work within a cross-functional team to design, implement, and sustain WAN, LAN, and SD-WAN with Cisco technologies. You will translate business needs into concrete designs, lead network projects, and drive change with formal documentation and governance. You will stay ahead of industry trends to improve network capabilities and operational readiness. This onsite position in New York offers a chance to shape a high-impact, scalable network landscape. ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain WAN, LAN, and SD-WAN infrastructure with high availability and securityProvide architectural guidance on upgrades and emerging technologiesTranslate business requirements into low-level designs and implementation plansLead network projects and coordinate with stakeholders and managed service providersCreate and maintain comprehensive network documentation and runbooksAssist with incidents and escalations and drive troubleshooting to resolutionEnsure compliance with security and reliability standards and risk mitigationPrepare and obtain peer approvals for RoC (Record of Change) documents and ServiceNow change requests Key requirementsCCNP certification (minimum)CCIE certification desirableDeep knowledge of Wireless LAN and NAC solutions (Cisco WLAN, Cisco ISE, Aruba WLAN, Aruba ClearPass)Deep knowledge of SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela)Strong routing protocols expertise (BGP, OSPF) and carrier WAN/ Internet servicesProficiency with Cisco LAN switching technologies (STP, RSTP, MSTP, VLANs, EtherChannel, switch stacking)Experience configuring/troubleshooting Layer 2/3 switches, QoS, network segmentation and redundancyAbility to produce detailed designs, implementation plans, and operational support documentsStrong stakeholder engagement and cross-environment coordinationStakeholder engagementCoordination across multiple environmentsLeadership and collaborationSD-WAN Cisco ViptelaCisco WLAN / ISE / Aruba WLAN / Aruba ClearPassBGP and OSPF
