Pay Rate: $60-80/hour on W2
Location: Oakland, CA - Hybrid
Duration: 6 Months - Temp to Perm Potential
Work Mode: Hybrid
Responsibilities:
Resolve problems of moderate scope using standard solutions
Independently plan work under general direction; progress reviewed periodically for technical accuracy
Provide technical expertise, conduct engineering analyses, studies, and develop conceptual designs
Present findings to internal teams, contractors, and vendors
Conduct walkdowns and design review meetings
Prepare technical documents including design criteria, scope documents, specifications, and reports
Develop, evaluate, and recommend alternative project proposals
Solicit, prepare, and evaluate contracts/proposals from engineering consultants
Review consultant contracts for technical compliance
Interpret and apply applicable codes and regulations
Participate in developing restoration plans and assist in root cause analysis
Approve reports, new drawings, and revisions to existing drawings
Respond promptly to facility failures in emergencies
Represent company to government bodies for assigned projects
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited US curriculum or equivalent from outside the US
Minimum 3 years of cumulative experience in engineering and design
Preferred Skills:
Electrical transmission line engineering for 115kv–500kv
Strong familiarity with GO 95, NESC, and company transmission line standards and construction practices
Strong familiarity with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, etc.
Skills in project management
