Debt Recovery Associate Attorney

This is an on site role for the first year to support training, collaboration, and pace. Hybrid flexibility may be available after about 1 year based on performance and business needs.Note:You must be licensed in Colorado and have 3+ years of legal collections experience, including strong working knowledge of the FDCPA.About Our ClientOur client is a leading Colorado law firm focused on representing community associations and covenant controlled communities. They support condominiums, townhomes, and single family associations across the Denver metro area, Front Range, and mountain and resort regions, with a reputation for responsiveness, practical advice, and deep subject matter expertise.Job DescriptionEvaluate delinquencies, handle case intake, and set collection strategy from day oneNegotiate pre trial and post trial resolutions, including ADR when appropriateOversee preparation and approval of pleadings in county court, district court, and bankruptcy courtDrive post judgment collection strategy, including garnishments, interrogatories, stipulations, and foreclosuresPrepare for and conduct returns, hearings, trials, appeals, and other proceedingsMonitor and evaluate bankruptcies and foreclosures impacting collection outcomesRespond to client status requests and maintain clear status reportingManage a high volume caseload, approximately 700 filesSupervise and develop staff, delegating effectively to keep matters movingParticipate in business development efforts and strengthen long term client relationshipsQualificationsActive Colorado law license, in good standing3+ years of experience in a legal collections practiceAdvanced knowledge of the FDCPAStrong organization and multitasking skills in a high volume environmentExcellent writing, proofreading, and client communication skillsComfortable handling sensitive conversations with tact and professionalismProficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel, plus experience with case management and billing softwareWhy You’ll Love Working HereMedical, dental, and vision coverage, plus HSA optionsShort term and long term disability, life, and AD and D insurance401(k) with employer contribution plus profit sharing planAnnual compensation reviews and merit based bonus considerationA fast paced, team oriented environment where high performers earn trust and autonomyJPC-561Benefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceHealth savings accountPaid time offVision insurance
