KETIV Technologies is seeking a skilled and motivated CFD Application Engineer to join our engineering team with a focus on Ansys CFD tools, especially in the field of turbomachinery. This role involves providing technical expertise, simulation support, and project delivery services to clients across aerospace, energy, automotive, and industrial sectors.
The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Ansys Fluent, CFX, and the Ansys Turbomachinery Suite (BladeGen, TurboGrid, VISTA), combined with a solid foundation in rotating machinery design, aerodynamics, and thermal‑fluid analysis. A passion for solving complex engineering challenges and supporting cutting‑edge technology development is essential.
Responsibilities Provide pre‑sales support by leading technical discussions with customers to identify simulation needs and recommend Ansys‑based solutions, and validating proposed solutions through product presentations, demonstrations and evaluations.
Deliver post‑sales support to end users, including simulation guidance, workflow training, issue resolution, and licensing assistance.
Execute and deliver consulting services and training for Ansys CFD tools, including developing proposals, delivering simulation reports, and presenting results.
Support simulations involving: Internal flows in rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, turbines)
Blade design and meshing using BladeGen and TurboGrid
General‑purpose thermal and multiphase CFD simulations
Turbulence modeling (RANS, LES etc.)
Combustion simulations in gas turbine, boiler, other applications
Collaborate with the sales team to support account growth and identify new simulation opportunities.
Create technical content (blogs, webinars, case studies) to promote Ansys CFD capabilities in industrial applications.
Qualifications M.S. or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or a closely related field)
Documented experience with Ansys Fluent and/or CFX, ideally in rotating machinery applications
Experience using SpaceClaim, Workbench, BladeGen, TurboGrid, Vista‑CPD/Vista‑TF or similar turbomachinery‑specific tools
Strong understanding of compressible/incompressible flow, blade loading, stage performance, and flow losses
Knowledge of meshing techniques (CFD Meshing, ICEM CFD, TurboGrid)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem‑solving and analytical mindset
Willingness to travel occasionally (typically Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. lawful permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
Preferred Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in engineering simulation, preferably in the aerospace, defense, or automotive industries
Experience in combustion, cavitation, or multiphase flows using Ansys tools
Familiarity with parametric studies, optimization, and design of experiments (DOE) within Workbench
Scripting experience in UDF (C), Python (PyFluent), or journal files
Experience in Ansys Mechanical, Icepak, Forte, or Autodesk CFD
