Office Coordinator
Position SummaryThe Office Coordinator will support the department in overseeing the daily administrative activities of the office.This is a hybrid position.Position ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the daily operations of a large office, including the coordination of duties of support staff; prioritize, distribute, and review the work of the support staffTrain on office and University policies and proceduresEnsure that the department/division receives the administrative support required to meet its commitments and responsibilitiesMaintain calendars, make travel arrangements, and update pending commitments and appointmentsAssist faculty/supervisor with administrative requirementsAssign and withdraw all computer and database securities, including Banner, OBIEE, and remote access to their computerOnboard new employees, including setting them up with their email addresses, phone(s), access to the server, setting up their private folder on the server, and coordinating training with the department TrainerMaintain office correspondence and reply to inquiriesResponse must be made in a timely manner, and urgent matters must be brought to the attention of senior managementConfirm that the appropriate resources are available, which are needed by the faculty memberExperience & Educational BackgroundA Bachelor’s degree3-5 years of administrative experience are requiredAn equivalent combination of education and experience will also be consideredSkills & CompetenciesMust possess strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointMay use other Microsoft programs as assignedThe ability to quickly learn and become proficient in new software and technology is essentialMust be exceedingly well organized, flexible, and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a small office of diverse people and programsMust have the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient; a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this roleMust demonstrate good judgment, initiative, and attention to detailMust be able to effectively track time and resources to prioritize work assignments among assigned staffMust possess strong customer service, communication, and organizational skillsMay be required to work independently and produce quality work from conception to completion on assigned projectsSalary RangeGrade 81199 New Hire rate: $35.99 and 1199 One Year of Service rate: $36.72As of July 1, 2026, 1199 New Hire rate: $37.70, and 1199 One Year of Service rate: $38.47About UsYeshiva University is dedicated to academic excellence, intellectual exploration, and the advancement of timeless values that shape and impact lives.
