Quality Assurance SupervisorQuality & Sanitation Supervisor- Food Manufacturing 3rd Shift (7:00pm-7:30am) Mt Juliet, TennesseeThe Quality & Sanitation Supervisor will learn the principles of lean manufacturing and the value proposition to the specific Quality and Food Safety function and needs to have the technical background to support innovation, commercialization of new products and to excel in a lean, operationally excellent culture. The Quality & Sanitation Supervisor helps improve and maintain BRC and FMSA compliance by developing tools to drive continuous improvement and process control and is a frontline business leader helping to build a positive culture, to provide technical leadership, and training and to serve as role models for the team.Job Responsibilities:Manage sanitation operations in the plant including master sanitation and allergen cleaningEnforcement of chemical handling safetyResponsible for waste-stream managementDirect supervision of Sanitation and Quality Assurance Technicians in a production environmentScheduling of Sanitation TechniciansProvide leadership on ensuring facility is kept safe, clean, and well organizedPartner cross-functionally to reduce risk within business and to strengthen people, programs, and processesUse Lean tools and Continuous improvement to develop Root Cause and Corrective Actions using RCAs, 5-Whys, FishboneAssist in development, implementation and monitoring of a progressive, ongoing food safety programProvide technical support for projects, R&D, reformulations, commercialization, process and sanitary designAdminister line audits process checks to ensure process control and product conformance to specificationParticipate in GFSI and external Food Safety & Quality AuditsConduct and review analytical analyses on incoming ingredients and finished productsMeasure and monitor environmental and plant conditions, including pre-operational startupConduct plant food safety and security audits, continually look for food safety hazardsEnsure compliance to equipment calibration and verification programMaintain Environmental Monitoring ProgramEnsure all Preventative Controls and FSMA complianceConduct daily product evaluation along with cross functional R&D and Operations teamUpdate, review and train on SOPs/SSOPs for food safety, Food Safety Plan, GMPs, et alAdminister and train on BRC code and program requirementsJob Requirements:BS in Life Sciences or Engineering preferred, however, will consider experience in lieu of degree2-5 years' experience in a food manufacturing facilityUnderstanding of chemical safety, handling, and usageUnderstanding of Environmental Monitoring Programs for PathogensFamiliarity with enterprise ERP systemsUnderstanding of HACCP/FSMA RegulationsPrefer PCQI certification (not required, but preferred)Ability to work cross-functionally with maintenance and production teamsKnowledge of continuous improvement programsFamiliarity with food safety and environmental regulations related to food manufacturingAbility to communicate and understand work instructions in EnglishWorking Conditions/Physical Factors:Able to conduct work in adherence to BRC and COMPANY policiesAble to work in environment containing nuts, peanuts, dairy, grains and other allergensAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 poundsAbility to safely maneuver through a production and warehouse environmentAbility to be flexible with work hours, shifts, and shifting priorities based on Production scheduleJob Details:3rd shiftDirect Hire$65-75K; BOEEligible for potential bonus3 weeks of PTO; Full benefits
