Responsibilities: Oversee all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, chillers, compressors, and roofing to ensure safe, reliable operation. Supervise and develop the building maintenance team and stockroom operations. Develop, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance procedures to minimize downtime. Identify when specialized work is needed, manage external vendors, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. Collaborate with maintenance staff to manage parts and inventory, ensuring smooth stockroom operations. Conduct facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns. Prioritize and assign work to the maintenance team based on urgency and production impact. Troubleshoot and direct repairs on building systems when issues arise. Monitor maintenance performance and follow up on work completion. Coordinate with production, safety, and other departments on facility needs. Review and approve parts orders and contractor quotes. Maintain maintenance records and track preventative maintenance completion. Perform hands-on maintenance work as needed. Essential Skills: Knowledge of facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, chillers, compressors, and industrial infrastructure. Supervisory and leadership abilities to lead a maintenance team and stockroom operations. Experience in creating and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules and procedures. Ability to manage contractors, including scoping work and managing performance and safety. Strong problem-solving skills under pressure, with the ability to prioritize multiple issues. Additional Skills & Qualifications: 3+ years of facility/building maintenance experience, with 5-7 years preferred. Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable. Experience in automotive or heavy manufacturing facilities is advantageous. CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience is a plus. Budget management experience and Lean manufacturing or 5S knowledge are beneficial. Bilingual (Spanish) skills are helpful for team communication. Experience with energy management or sustainability initiatives is a bonus. High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical degree or trade school certification is preferred. Certifications such as HVAC certification, electrical license, boiler operator license, OSHA 30, or facilities management certification are nice to have. Why Work Here? This salaried position primarily follows a Monday-Friday schedule with occasional off-hours support during facility issues or projects.
