An associate or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Previous telephony experience is strongly recommended. Additional certifications or experience in VoIP, unified communications, or Zoom Phone platforms are advantageous.Successful applicants will demonstrate experience with handset installation, network and data drop connectivity, phone system testing and validation, and technical documentation, enabling them to confidently deploy and validate telephony equipment across multiple customer locations.Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset are essential to thrive in this role. Candidates must be comfortable working across multiple sites, managing deployment schedules, and coordinating with project leads to ensure successful rollouts.Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Associate or bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)Previous telephony experience strongly recommended; VoIP or Zoom Phone experience a plusMinimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in telephony, end-user device deployment, or related IT field workAbility to install and connect handsets using the existing data drop infrastructureExperience with testing, validating, and staging telephony equipment per client directionStrong attention to detail for multi-site coordination and deployment trackingMust have reliable transportation to travel to multiple sites across North CarolinaMust be available for afternoon and after-hours shifts; standard daytime schedules might applyExperience with technical documentation (EXCEL), IT inventory management, and data port trackingAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work safely in a warehouse/IDF environmentStart Date: Tentative - Monday, July 8, 2026End Date: August 28, 2026 SCHEDULE AND DEPLOYMENT DETAILSThis role requires availability for afternoon and after-hours shifts. Deployments will be spread across multiple sites throughout North Carolina, with a focus on 2 to 3 sites per week following the initial test site, the week of June 8. Exact shift times are still being finalized and are subject to change based on project coordination.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONOn-site attendance is required. Contractors must utilize TMG Global's timekeeping system, which features a GEO-tagged clock-in and clock-out function. This is a 1099 contractor role. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and equipment. As part of our employment process, TMG Global conducts background checks on all final candidates.
