Our ALL IN culture includes a focus on Safety, Wellness, Learning, Diversity and Inclusion, and giving back to our Communities.ADB is seeking a Material Handler to provide general handling, tracking and organization support of various utility construction materials and equipment within a warehouse and/or construction yard setting. This position directly supports construction operations teams with all material loading/unloading, organization, shop cleanliness, yard maintenance, etc. The ideal candidate will be customer and quality centric, have a complete buy-in to safety, with a strong work ethic, and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs general manual labor moving materials, tools, and equipment within a construction yard and/or warehouse environment including loading, unloading, organizing, etc.Strong relationship skills to be a dependable partner to internal crews and external subcontractors for all their material/equipment needsAbility to safely operate a forklift, backhoe, and/or other various equipmentUpon request, delivers various construction materials, tools and/or equipment onsite to active project sitesHas general knowledge and experience of various utility construction materials to ensure accuracy on issuing out equipmentAdheres to all material and equipment tracking standards and expectationsMaintains yard and shop cleanliness that could include; trash pickup, mowing, weed eating, shoveling, sweeping, office cleaning, etc.Upon request, can support the management teams on gathering pricing of various materials, tools and/or equipmentSafety is the expectation; complete buy-in and adherence to the safety culture and expectations by leading by example and actively participating in pre-task, good catch and safety assessment standards within the organizationPerforms other position duties when requestedSUCCESS FACTORS:A strong belief in ZERO- Being Safe 100% of the time is the expectationAlignment with company mission, vision, and valuesA high level of customer centricityStrong work ethic with an ALL-IN attitudeStrong attendance recordStrong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team membersAbility to perform in a fast paced/high volume environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsA high level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skillsAbility to be organized, problem solve, and be solution orientedSelf-motivated, goal- oriented, and driven to accomplish department goalsBasic Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)WORK ENVIRONMENT:Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsiteThis is a safety sensitive position; when working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots.EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:2+ years of experience within a Material Handling/Logistics and/or Inventory position requiredPrevious experience within utility construction preferredValid driver license with the ability to drive a company vehicle required (CDL strongly preferred)Forklift Certification strongly preferred (ability to obtain within 90 days of hire required)High School diploma or equivalent requiredThe starting pay for this position is [X amount] and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.ADB Companies, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
