🚨 Now Hiring: General Superintendent📍 Long Beach, California | Field-BasedWe are hiring an experienced General Superintendent to support a large-scale EV infrastructure and power delivery project in the Long Beach, CA area. This is a long-term full-time opportunity supporting the installation and commissioning of medium-voltage substations and DC fast charging infrastructure.The ideal candidate will bring strong field leadership experience managing complex construction projects involving medium-voltage electrical systems, heavy civil work, asphalt/concrete paving, and large-scale equipment installation.Preference will be given to local candidates.Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day field construction activities for major EPC and infrastructure projectsManage and coordinate electrical, civil, mechanical, instrumentation, controls, and subcontractor activitiesOversee installation and commissioning of medium-voltage substations (2.4kV–35kV) with minimum 2.5 MVA capacitySupervise heavy asphalt paving, concrete foundations, and DC fast charger installationsEnsure compliance with all project safety plans, quality standards, and company proceduresConduct and lead field meetings including safety, scheduling, coordination, and progress reviewsReview and audit PTAs, TSOs, field reports, progress tracking, and construction documentationInterface with clients, engineers, municipal agencies, subcontractors, and project stakeholdersSupport schedule forecasting, look-ahead planning, construction turnover, and commissioning activitiesProvide technical guidance regarding construction methods, drawings, specifications, and installation proceduresOversee staffing, craft supervision, material management, and subcontractor performanceRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree with 13+ years of construction management or craft supervision experience on similar projectsORAssociate Degree with 15+ years of relevant experienceORHigh School Diploma/GED with 17+ years of relevant experiencePreferred ExperienceMedium-voltage substation installation and commissioning experienceEV infrastructure and DC fast charger construction experienceHeavy civil construction including paving and foundationsEPC project execution and field leadership experienceStrong understanding of construction safety and quality management systemsAbility to read and interpret civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls, instrumentation, isometric, and P&ID drawingsProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteStrong communication and supervisory skillsAbility to meet company driving requirementsWhat We’re Looking ForWe are seeking a hands-on construction leader with a strong safety mindset, exceptional field coordination abilities, and experience managing large multidisciplinary construction teams in complex infrastructure environments.If you have experience delivering medium-voltage utility or industrial infrastructure projects and thrive in fast-paced field environments, we’d love to connect.
