Service Advisor
Service Advisor PositionEstablished Ford dealership looking for service advisor. You'll work as a team with one other senior advisor maintaining the service schedule and coordinating communication between customers, technicians, and the parts department.Ability to handle multiple ongoing projects at once is a requirement. Proficiency with online computer programs, passwords, and coding is expected. This is a busy service department. You'll be on your feet and in constant motion.Experience with automotive repair processes would be preferred. Compensation is team-based so only team players survive here.Service Advisor Responsibilities:Greet customers promptlyObtain customer and vehicle informationListen, question, and report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customerDetermine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage, and history of vehicleAssist technicians and parts counter obtaining a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and partsEstablish follow up timeMonitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequentlyVerify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair orderExplain all completed work and charges to customersCoordinate and obtain approval of estimates with after-market warranty companiesService Advisor Requirements:Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plusAbility to think "outside the box" to identify problemsKnowledge of automobilesProven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfactionPast experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultantVery energetic personalityA desire for a long-term career with a growing organizationPersonal and professional integrityComputer skills and willingness to learn new programsAbility to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specificationsMinimum of 1 year in service departmentAbility to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet all dayAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentBasic computer skillsPositive, friendly attitudeHigh school diploma or equivalentWe are an equal opportunity employer.
