Quality Technician III, Metallurgical (2nd Shift)Location: Los Angeles, CASalary: $74,000 – $172,000ResponsibilitiesPerform metallurgical and mechanical testing on manufactured products, manage complex testing, maintain training and qualifications for NADCAP accreditation, and support QA laboratory needs.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical destructive testing on manufactured products: Hardness and Microhardness testingTensile, Shear, and Double-Shear testingFatigue testingInsertion Force testingTorque testingPin Break testingSupport preparation of test samples for metallurgical examination.Prepare inspection cards/data sheets for recording and maintaining results.Perform minor maintenance and repair of test equipment.Execute processes according to company procedures and specifications.Conduct inspections, tests, or calibrations timely.Assist with additional QA laboratory needs as required.Work safely promoting health and wellbeing of individual and environment: Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions.Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses.Support manufacturing operations, customers, and suppliers as needed.Benefits and SalaryCompetitive wages ranging from $27.00 to $31.00 per hour, comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid holidays, and vacation.Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 30 lbs.Must be able to push/pull up to 30 lbs.Basic RequirementsMinimum of two years mechanical testing experience working in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
