SNR Accounting Manager
We are looking for an experienced accounting leader to oversee core financial operations and help ensure accurate, timely reporting for an organization in Columbia, South Carolina. This role will guide month-end activities, maintain the integrity of the general ledger, and support compliance through strong controls and documentation. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on management style, sound technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to partner effectively across departments.Responsibilities:• Lead the monthly close process, coordinating timelines, reviewing entries, and ensuring reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.• Oversee general ledger activity by validating account accuracy, monitoring transactions, and maintaining strong accounting records.• Prepare and review journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation to ensure completeness and adherence to accounting standards.• Manage account reconciliations across key balance sheet and income statement accounts, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.• Support financial statement audit activities by organizing schedules, responding to auditor requests, and helping maintain audit readiness throughout the year.• Evaluate accounting workflows and strengthen internal controls to improve accuracy, consistency, and efficiency within the department.• Partner with internal stakeholders to address reporting questions, provide financial insight, and support operational decision-making.• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility within an accounting function.• Strong command of month-end close procedures, general ledger management, and financial reporting practices.• Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and journal entries in a complex environment.• Background supporting financial statement audits and working effectively with internal or external auditors.• Solid understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and documentation standards.• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize competing tasks, and maintain a high level of accuracy.• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and present information clearly.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
