Our team is composed of highly trained professionals with a commitment to continued learning, versatility, and adaptability within the ever-evolving technological landscape.LOCATION Annapolis Junction, MD.PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must possess active TS/SCI w/Poly.SALARY RANGE $200,000 - $230,000/year.DUTIESAs a successful candidate for the Software Engineer III role, you will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based on documented requirements. You will work individually or as part of a team, reviewing and testing software components for adherence to design requirements and documenting test results.You will resolve software problem reports and apply software development and design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. You will also provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and the use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) products in place of new development, as well as requirements analysis and synthesis from the system level down to individual software components.TECHNOLOGY STACK:Knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security; experience with JMS, KAFKA, and Java; proficiency in Oracle, Elasticsearch, Docker, and Kubernetes (K8s); and familiarity with Maven, Gradle, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.Experience with Angular and ReactJSSKILLSEvaluate end-user needs to establish comprehensive software design and performance criteriaIdentify and resolve defects through rigorous debugging of existing software systemsAdvise on enhancements for technical documentation and development lifecycle standardsEngineer novel software solutions or implement feature enhancements within current applicationsIncorporate software into evolving systems or diverse operational environmentsConstruct data queries to support database interactions and information retrievalAuthor and critique technical manuals and system-level documentationPerform as a team lead, managing technical activities according to specific project methodologiesArchitect and deploy advanced interfaces and queries for complex data repositoriesOptimize algorithms to achieve superior system functionality and performance benchmarksCoordinate the creation and execution of validation procedures for software modulesInvestigate technical problem areas and define solutions through system flow and data analysisAdapt software to new hardware specifications while optimizing overall performanceModel and predict software outcomes using scientific and mathematical analysis during designExecute quality control measures and implement algorithms with strict resource constraintsDirect software development teams to ensure alignment with project-specific process constraintsCollaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers to define limitations and project capabilitiesOversee system installations and monitor functionality to maintain operational compliancePropose emerging technologies and modernized processes for high-complexity initiativesProvide technical leadership across multiple development teams and coordinate process selectionValidate the quality of all developed software through rigorous control standardsAssign and monitor programming and testing tasks across various engineering teamsQUALIFICATIONS Twelve (12) years of experience as a SWE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
