DescriptionThe Facilities Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily security operations for shift personnel at CARTI facilities, ensuring the safety and protection of employees, patients, visitors, and property. This role plays a critical part in responding to a wide range of security situations, including emergencies, disturbances, and suspicious activity. The Supervisor also coordinates with emergency services, supports operational continuity in the absence of the Security Manager, and promotes a safe environment through exemplary professionalism and de-escalation techniques. The position requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with a consistent emphasis on customer service.This position is a Safety Sensitive Position. The essential functions, physical demands, and mental competencies of this job require the employee to maintain the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe mannerHours: Thursday through Sunday 7:00am to 5:30pm.SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervise Security Officers and ensure compliance with CARTI security policies and procedures.Serve as a regional representative for security operations, supporting Security Operations Managers as needed.Provide support to CARTI facilities with and without assigned Security Officers.Lead and oversee security operations at the Little Rock CARTI Cancer Center during the Security Manager's absence.Conduct daily shift debriefings to coordinate and review security operations.Coordinate with and escort law enforcement, fire departments, and EMS personnel during facility visits.Deliver high-level customer service and maintain professionalism in all interactions.Maintain regular communication with Security Officers to foster team engagement and collaboration.Develop, maintain, and submit training materials and personnel profiles for review and approval.Review and submit incident reports, daily logs, and witness statements through internal systems.Assist with site security assessments, inspections, and investigations using surveillance systems as needed.Travel to and respond to incidents at remote CARTI locations, including those without assigned officers.Provide shift coverage during absences, emergencies, or in the direction of management.Escalate serious incidents (e.g., violence, harassment) to the Security Manager with full documentation.May require the ability to work on alternating shift schedulePerform other duties as assigned.Travel to and from other work sites as needed.EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:High School Diploma or equivalent.Valid Arkansas driver's license.EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:4 years of experience as a Security Officer, or 4 years in the Military, or2 years of Military Police, or Full Time Law Enforcement Officer;1 year of progressive experience in a lead or supervisory role, required.4 years of supervisor experience, preferredCustomer Service experience in stressful situations is required.Ability to observe and report all activities and know who to contact for each event.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment described here is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
