Controller
The Controller will be the financial and operational accounting lead for the Business Unit, responsible for leading, directing, coordinating, maintaining, and controlling the financial and accounting functions within the Business Unit. This position will report to the General Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Management
Currently this role is responsible for one direct report (accounting clerk) but may be responsible for additional individual contributors or managers in future.
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
Overseeing customer invoicing and posting payments to customer accounts
Updating and maintaining records of expenditures
Ensuring that all payments are made in accordance with company policy
Accounting
Closing the business unit monthly financial statements in a timely manner
Maintain the business unit’s financials in accordance with the TAC accounting policies
Prepare the business units for audits from external auditors, lenders and customers
Manage and coordinate audits with CPA’s, insurance companies, customers, lenders and investors
Banking and Treasury
Serve as lead for the company’s interactions with its banking relationships, including treasury/cash management, debt capitalization/revolving line of credit, and credit reporting and compliance.
Manage debt covenant compliance and other lender reporting requirements
Tribus Aerospace Reporting
Lead the preparation of the materials for the monthly Business Unit Review (BUR)
Provide TAC with information for the quarterly and annual board presentations
Provide ad hoc reporting as needed
Tax & Government filing
Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax and Personal Property Tax forms
File annual 1099’s
Prepare and/or file other misc. tax and government reporting.
Cost Accounting
Maintain and approve current cost accounting system at the business unit, consistent with TAC’s practices
Payroll
Oversee payroll for the business unit in ADP Workforce Now
Oversee Affordable Care Act compliance and reporting for the business unit
Budget, Reports, and Forecasts:
Prepare the annual budget for the business unit
Prepare sales and profit analysis, overhead analysis and other such reports to help understand the financial performance of the business

This position is responsible for managing the cost accountant and any future employees in the accounting department.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The role will also work with employees on the shop floor.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Additional work may be necessary either on a daily basis or on weekends.
Travel
This position may require up to 10% travel, but this is in general rare.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
7 years total financial accounting experience.
3 years of experience in a management capacity.
Experience with GAAP accounting and reporting.
Experience with cash flow management.
Preferred Education Experience
Experience with cost accounting
Experience in the manufacturing industry.
CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus but not required.
Total Rewards Package:
This is a permanent, exempt (Salaried), full time position. The annual pay range for this position is $105,000 - $145,000 (depending on experience).

Incentive Opportunity:
This role is eligible for a 10% annual bonus. This bonus is subject to both employee and companywide performance.
This role will be considered a department lead/manager for the purposes of AMT’s profit participation plan.
