This person will work closely with the COO or Vice President of Operations regarding strategic planning, development, continuous quality improvement and financial/budget reporting and monitoring. Instill the IMS mission, vision and values in the work performed.Job RequirementsAssume overall responsibility for division employee management and staffing including all providers, medical assistants, and administrative staffDetermine staffing standards based on patient care needs, patient flow, procedures and other clinical needsInterview, select and hire new employeesWork with Human Resources to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements for clinical and non-clinical staffResponsible for evaluating staff performance, developing standards and ensuring basic competencies for all staffEstablish credibility and a strong presence in the divisionIdentify potential problem areas, develop a system for objectively monitoring performance and creatively seek solutions to foster quality improvementContinuously optimize staff roles and responsibilities to meet performance goalsDevelop and maintain an open effective line of communications with providers and clinical staffDevelop and optimize the physician templates for appropriate patient schedulingAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingKnowledge of agency building and reimbursement regulationsAbility to research and audit physician charges to ensure they are properly processedAbility to work independently and to be accurate, efficient and organizedAbility to read and comprehend patient account information, insurance explanation of benefits and other financial recordsAbility to respond to emergent or stressful situations in a calm and professional mannerIntermediate computer skills (ie,. MS Word, Excel)Ability to maintain good working relationships while addressing complex extensive administrative issuesThe ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in safe mannerCoordinate space and room assignments for providersSupport and facilitate referral management processDevelop protocols to improve care for urgent patient problemsDevelop protocols and create standard for patient telephone calls to providersDevelop a system for monitoring clinic utilization, workload vs. billing, and individual physician provider productivity on a monthly basisWork with the Business Office to refine and monitor billingAct as a resource to physicians' clinical staff and business office staff regarding coding questions; provide regular in services to physicians and clinical staffHandle external marketingAssist with development of business plans for new programs and other strategic initiative for the divisionParticipate in management meetings and participate in strategic planning, proactive interdepartmental problem solving and policy developmentDemonstrate knowledge and understanding of patient privacy rights. Maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial, or other sensitive materials and information in printed, electronic or verbal form, which may jeopardize the privacy of patients and/or employeesEducation RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED is requiredA bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or business administration strongly preferredMinimum 5-7 years' experience managing and running a healthcare facilityManagement level experience in a clinical or hospital setting, including, medical insurance, coding and reimbursementJoining IMS Care Center is more than saying “yes” to making the world a healthier place.
