This role is responsible for overseeing field execution of underground chilled water piping installation, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project requirements. The Mechanical Field Superintendent will work closely with contractors and project leadership to coordinate daily activities, resolve field issues, and support overall project delivery.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day field execution of underground chilled water piping installation (~500 ft scope)Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and field crews to ensure quality and schedule adherenceLead rigging and lift coordination activities associated with piping installationMonitor construction progress and proactively identify and resolve field issuesIdentify, document, and coordinate field-driven change orders in collaboration with project managementEnsure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and site requirementsJob RequirementsStrong understanding of mechanical construction practices, particularly piping systemsExperience working in tight or complex construction environments with multiple tradesAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExcellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across field teams and project leadershipProven ability to manage priorities and maintain productivity in a fast-paced field environmentEducation / ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical training or certifications in construction, rigging, or related field preferredAdditional experience in commercial, institutional, or large-scale construction projects requiredCompensationThe hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $70-$80.
