Proposal Development Lead

Resource Innovations Is Seeking a Proposal Lead To Join Our Growing Team. This Is a Fully Remote Position. Candidates Must Be Able To Work Independently, Manage Multiple Deadlines, And Effectively Collaborate With Cross-functional Teams In a Virtual Environment.Proposal Lead ResponsibilitiesLead proposal development process from RFP receipt through submission, including owning and writing content for all sections and participating in post-submission activities in an entirely virtual environment, working collaboratively with subject matter experts, sales leads, and external partnersDevelop and uphold the proposal development scheduleWrite RFP-compliant proposal content that is persuasive, compelling, and supports strategies and win themes using the proposal content library and new content developed through interviews with subject matter expertsCollaborate with Business Development and Sales Operations to ensure accurate opportunity data is maintained in SharePoint and SalesforceFollow internal capture planning, proposal development, and presentation development processes and proceduresProvide technical writing, editing, and/or proofreading as neededCoordinate approvals for pricing and any exceptions or deviations from Resource Innovations' standing operating proceduresProcess complex technical information and create customized, persuasively written text/graphics for inclusion in a proposalCoordinate proposal production and submission activities to ensure compliance with RFP/RFI requirements and instructionsOnce the proposal is submitted, the Proposal Lead shall support:Technical clarification responsesProposal revisions as requested by the clientArchive appropriate content to the internal content libraryInterview/presentation preparation, briefing slides, and presentation reviews and feedbackTransition to the launch teamDocument all proposal lessons learnedOther duties as assignedRequirementsMinimum Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, or related field OR 5+ years demonstrated and related experience in writing and editing large, complex proposals, or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years of experience leading proposal development efforts for complex, competitive RFPs/RFIs/RFQs/RFAsExperience with internet research, SharePoint, Salesforce, and advanced abilities in the Microsoft Office suite of software, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Adobe AcrobatStrong writing skillsDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, matrixed proposal teams without direct authorityPreferred Experience And QualificationsBackground in writing and communications for technical, service-oriented companiesKnowledge of demand-side management, demand response, or other energy engineering and efficiency programsInDesign or other desktop publishing applicationWorking knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExperience supporting capture planning, win theme development, and/or finalist interviewsExperience working with proposal automation tools, content libraries, and/or AI-assisted drafting tools (e.g., Copilot, Loopio) is a plusBenefitsAt Resource Innovations, we believe supporting our people is essential to delivering impact. The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $75k - $110k. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus. The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position.
