Production Control/Warehouse Clerk

Job Description Purpose of Position: The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for processing all received parts from internal shipments; storing, organizing and distributing inventory within the warehouse and production floor.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Receive internal shipments from different locations in the company.Review all work orders sent with received parts to ensure all items were shipped to the correct internal location and document them in CMS, DOSS, and ISRP to maintain accurate records of inventory needed for production.Label and tag all parts received into the warehouse and store items in an orderly and accessible manner.Receive and count stock items, and record data using a computer.Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.Examine and inspect incoming and outgoing stock for obvious faults or defects and consult with engineering on whether the part can be fixed internally, scrapped, or sent back for re-work; process all re-work documents.Track the movement of inventory shipped, received, or transferred to another location within the company in order to avoid shortages in inventory and prevent production delays.Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to coworkers when addition items are needed for saw kits.Provide assistance or direction to other warehouse workers.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED is preferred.Previous experience using Inventory Control Software would be helpful.Clerical – Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files, and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.Computer literate; ability to use computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, work-processing, e-mail, and database software.Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.Ability to coach and mentor less experienced team members.Work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.Preferred Competencies:Attention to Detail – Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.Stress Tolerance – Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations.Dependability – Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.Coaching – Providing timely guidance and feedback to help others strengthen knowledge/skills needed to accomplish a task or solve a problem.Work Standards – Displays a high level of effort and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner; works with minimal supervision.Planning and Organizing – Organizes work in a manner that is both efficient and meaningful to those who will be asked to deliver results.Cooperation — Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
