Manufacturing Machine Operator (Wire Operator)

Job TitleMorgan Advanced MaterialsResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Responsible for operating a variety of equipment to support the production in a safe, timely mannerUse micrometers, calipers, pin gages, comparator, and various other inspection equipment appropriatelySets up and operates one or more slide-forming machines and or CNC machines to automatically punch, cut, and form metal strips and wirePerform inspection operations relevant to the departmentComplete work orders and department-related paperworkMaintain department housekeeping (6S) and strive for continuous improvementMechanically inclinedAbility to read drawings, quality, and other related documents and instructionsSpooling MaterialObserves all Company and safety rulesUses mill orders and sets up machine with dies/cutters/guides as requiredPerforms other tasks and duties as assignedUnderstands the cost of scrap contamination and guards against itResponsible for operating 1 or more rolling mills at a time in a fast-paced environmentLoad wire and set up each stand of the millInspect the wire quality throughout each step of the process using testing equipment such as micrometers, hardness testers and shadowgraphs, and verify correct measurementsMust be a team playerQualificationsRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentBasic computer skillsGood communication skills and able read/write EnglishAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player1-2 years Manufacturing stamping, wire forming related experience is preferredIndividual must be a Citizen of the United States, or Permanent resident alien of the United States, or Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)Morgan is proud to offer its employees with the following:Great opportunity with training provided for advancement.Benefits start on first day of regular full-time employment.
